How can I rent a safe deposit box?
How much does it cost to rent a safe deposit box?
The monthly rental prices depend on the size of the box and the duration of the rental period. The smallest boxes are available from CZK 450/month. Detailed pricing information can be found in the price list here.
What are the opening hours?
24SAFE operates NONSTOP. Access to safe deposit boxes is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, regardless of public holidays. The administrative office hours are the same.
Do I need to show any ID when entering the building?
No, to access your safe deposit box, you only need to use your access card.
For how long can I rent a safe deposit box?
You can rent a safe deposit box for a period ranging from 1 day up to 7 years.
Are the stored items insured?
All items stored in the boxes are insured. More information about insurance and additional coverage options can be found here.
What can and can’t I store in the box?
You can store practically anything up to a weight limit of 25 kg that complies with the operating conditions. The operating terms prohibit the storage of weapons, ammunition, chemicals, explosives, flammable or otherwise hazardous materials, perishable items (e.g., food), and items whose storage would be contrary to applicable laws or regulations.
Can I access my box during a power outage?
Yes, the entire box dispensing system and all security and operational components are connected to backup generators with unlimited operating time. You won’t even notice a power outage.
What is a chamber vault?
A vault room certified according to ČSN EN 1143-1:2013 and ISO/IEC 17067:2014 security class 10 CD, including vault doors that meet the same standards. Inside this room are the safe deposit boxes and a robotic handling system.
Can my box be accessed in any other way besides my personal card, PIN, and key?
Your box can only be called to the dispensing terminal using your personal chip card and PIN. The system does not allow access to your box using any other card or by any other means.
Is there a limit to how many times I can access my box per day?
No, the number of accesses to your box is not limited.
I have limited mobility. Is the building wheelchair accessible?
Yes, the 24SAFE building is fully wheelchair accessible, including the dispensing terminal. However, due to technical reasons, the requirement for barrier-free access must be reported during registration or rental. You can also contact our staff at any time — they will be happy to assist you.
How long does it take to retrieve stored items?
The retrieval process is quick — including the security procedure, it takes an average of about 5 minutes.
Is parking available near the 24SAFE building?
24SAFE clients can park directly in front of the company building. Parking is also available in the underground garages of the Florentinum, Palladium, or Millennium Plaza complexes.
Can I rent a box if I am under 18 years old?
Renting a box requires full legal capacity. Therefore, before turning 18, a person can rent a box only if they have become fully legally competent under §30 of the Civil Code or have been granted competence by a court under §33 for activities connected with gainful or similar employment.
Who can find out that I have a safe deposit box at 24SAFE?
Only the person you choose to tell. Unlike banks, 24SAFE is not subject to any reporting obligation to the Czech National Bank (ČNB). The ČNB can require banks to provide information about account or box holders, but 24SAFE has no such obligation and offers complete anonymity in this regard.
Is it possible to see who accessed my box and when?
Yes. There is an SMS monitoring service that immediately informs you via text message whenever your box is accessed.
Can someone else collect my stored items?
Yes. At the branch, you can authorize any number of additional persons (disponents) to access your box. Each authorized person must be registered in the 24SAFE system. Upon registration, they will receive their own access card; however, the box key can only be provided by the box owner.
Who has access to my box?
Only you, or those you explicitly authorize, have access to your box. Each authorized person must be registered in the 24SAFE system.
What should I do if I lose my card or keys?

Is the temperature inside the vault stable?
The vault where the safe deposit boxes are stored is maintained at a constant temperature of 23–27 °C.
